Technology in Our Society

          It would be challenging to find any aspect of society today that isn’t influenced by technology. Technology is rapidly advancing and shows no sign of slowing down. Technology is shaped by its surroundings as well as the needs of its users. Both society and technology co-evolve meaning when one advances, so does the other.  While technology seems to make some aspects of life much easier, often times it causes a great deal of difficulty. 

         It affects us by creating a generational gap between us and our family members, friends, and coworkers. It has created both improvements and setbacks to how we socially interact with each other on a daily basis. It has affected our mental health and the way we view the world and ourselves. It has even both positively and negatively impacted how we receive our education. In short: it has impacted and woven itself into every aspect of our lives.

       Technology such as social media has a great impact on our society. It has become a common staple in our lives. We spend most of our time flipping through news feeds or emails on our smart devices without so much as a blink. We rely so much on technology that we can't imagine a world without it. We consider technology to be such a great benefit and a great help in our lives. What if technology such as social media is harming our health more than helping it?
